Privacy policy

Images stay on your device. BlurTool processes images entirely in your browser: manual editing, OCR text detection, batch processing, and export. Image contents are never uploaded, logged, or included in analytics or error reports.

What we store. If you save presets, we store the preset settings (name, categories, effect, strength, cover color, export format and quality). We also store anonymous usage counters (event type, region counts, timestamps) linked to a random cookie id, to power your dashboard on this browser. We never store filenames, image data, OCR results, or your custom sensitive words - those remain in your browser only.

OCR engine. When you run detection, your browser downloads an open-source OCR engine (Tesseract.js) from a public CDN. Your image is processed locally by that engine; it is not sent to the CDN or to us.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count page visits (pages viewed, approximate country, device and browser type). It uses cookies set by Google. It never receives your images, file names or anything you draw or type in the editor.

Exports. Downloaded files are flattened re-encodes of the edited pixels. They contain no original image layers, no OCR text, and no copied source metadata.

Accounts. If you create an account we store your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), your plan and trial dates, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not ask for a card for the free trial.

Billing. When paid upgrades open, payments will be handled by Stripe. Card details never touch our servers.
